The concept is simple – to tell something from beginning to end; from then to now; from nothing to the absolute; from inconspicuous moments to great ecstasies.

The concept is simple – to tell a life story.

We love universal stories about life. We love getting to know heroes whose fates we remember for a very long time. We love living their lives, laughing with them, crying with them, growing up with them, loving with them, eating with them, stumbling and getting back up, marvelling at the world and cursing it a moment later. We also love travelling with them, and sometimes even running with them… And if running, then we all know with whom.

And you, have you ever run with Forrest Gump? We have, many times. We have done many other things with him as well, because whoever has not fallen in love with Forrest has no heart and does not understand what a true story is.

The film Forrest Gump, which inspired us to create this blend, is one of the most important films in the entire history of cinema. And yes, of course, tastes are not up for debate, but simple and universal values certainly are. And that is exactly what this film is about. It is a story about a simple, noble man who remained faithful to his ideals and probably only thanks to them was able to survive all the storms that life placed in his path. Just like that feather, carried by the wind, which opens and closes the entire film with a symbolic frame. Because that is exactly what it is – one of many symbols in this work. It is a symbol of the unpredictability of fate and of the fact that it is often guided by pure chance, a gust of wind, someone’s action or lack thereof. After all, life is like a box of chocolates, right? You never know what you're going to get…

In the case of our blend – Run, Forrest, Run – you know exactly what you're going to get.

Green rooibos, a plant with enormous strength of spirit. It grows wild in South Africa, in extremely dry and hot conditions, yet it never gives up. It is unquestionably our Forrest, whom nothing could break.

Then there is pineapple – sweet and sour, slightly tart and a little bristly, just like the lost and headstrong Jenny. An apple, which reminds us only of “some fruit company” that Forrest invested in – namely the famous Apple. The remaining ingredients, although they do not appear directly in the film, can also serve as beautiful metaphors through their character. Calendula is associated with healing and care, with treating wounds, both physical and emotional. After all, Forrest always protected his loved ones, and especially wanted to protect Jenny, even though in truth he could not and was not able to save her. There are wounds and traumas within us that even the greatest love cannot heal. Forrest’s love for Jenny was pure and unconditional, yet full of suffering. Beauty with thorns – like the rose we also added to this blend.

But so that it is not only about sadness and great dramas, let us remember childhood and innocence. Let it taste like strawberry. Let it be the flavour of happiness, of moments of joy, which the film certainly did not lack. Safflower, a symbol of perseverance and strength, requires no further interpretation. It is as though we were speaking about our strongman Forrest. And finally, the sunflower blossom. Can you see it? Forrest sitting on his bench, with a heart full of trust, always looking towards the sun, his face turned towards goodness.

These ingredients create a story about simplicity, love, the hardships of work, worries, and hope. Emotional honesty and tenderness in their purest form.

As we wrote at the beginning – the concept was meant to be simple: to tell a story about life, from beginning to end; from then until now; from nothing to the very end; from inconspicuous moments to great exaltations. Because our teas are real, and they are about life.

So we will ask once again: Have you ever run with Forrest? If not, then set out on the road!

The famous cry, Run, Forrest, run! is nothing less than a metaphor for resilience, for never stopping in the pursuit of a goal, for great courage, and for finding joy in life despite everything. The words Forrest speaks while running: “I just kept putting one foot in front of the other.” – let them be an inspiration and motivation for us. Let them be a message that sometimes it is not worth wondering how long or how difficult the road ahead will be, but simply to walk, to run, to keep placing one foot after the other.

We know that life is sometimes difficult. That is a known fact. We have written nothing groundbreaking. We also know that sometimes putting one foot in front of the other is a tremendous achievement, and that we will not run like Forrest, no matter how hard we try. Let us then find strength within ourselves, despite storms and unfavourable winds. Let us also sometimes notice another person who, just like us, is struggling, and extend a helping hand. That is exactly what Forrest would do.

Together it is easier to walk, easier to run through life. Let us live in such a way that we feel willing, and that everyone around us feels willing too.

Let us power the world with kindness.
