More about the product

Ceylon Indulgasinna “Blue Nettle” – A Truly Exceptional Tea!

What makes Blue Nettle so extraordinary is, above all, its production process. Every leaf is picked by hand with the utmost care and then taken through an unusual, two-stage drying ritual.

First, the leaves are naturally withered, gently losing some of their moisture. Then, in a masterful act of precision, they are moistened again and carefully hand-rolled into shapes resembling cigars. This complex procedure requires not only skill, but also patience and dedication.

Once rolled, the tea “cigars” undergo another round of oxidation, followed by a second, final drying. This unique method, passed down from generation to generation, gives Blue Nettle its inimitable character.

Because of this highly intricate process, the tea is available only in very limited quantities.

A guaranteed wow effect! And no – these cigars aren’t for smoking, but for sipping with great delight.

Ceylon Cigars – Like a Work of Art!

Ingredients: Ceylon Indulgasinna “Blue Nettle” tea.

Taste: The flavor of Blue Nettle is as distinctive as its craftsmanship. The infusion shines with a deep amber color and offers an intense, layered aroma. Notes of wood, honey, and dried fruit intertwine with a gentle floral accent, creating a perfectly harmonious composition. The taste is full-bodied, lightly sweet, with a subtle touch of bitterness.

Wellness: Oolong teas are celebrated for their many health benefits. They aid in weight management, reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease, and diabetes, have anti-inflammatory properties, strengthen the bones, eliminate harmful free radicals, and help regulate both cholesterol and blood sugar levels.

Packaging: Ceylon Cigars Piag Tea is presented in an elegant tin that will adorn any kitchen. The exquisite design comes from illustrator and designer Katarzyna Korzeniowska. Each tin is hand-labeled and hand-packed. Everything we do – we do with love.

Ceylon Cigars – Pure Magic

The uniqueness of this tea lies not only in its original shape but above all in its complexity—and in a certain magical quality, though in truth, apart from the magic of nature, nothing supernatural is happening here.

So where does the magic of Blue Nettle’s production lie? It is the fact that, because of the tightly rolled leaves and the gradual, uneven oxidation that follows, the finished tea displays the qualities of three types of tea at once: white, oolong, and black.

The Legend of Oolong Tea

Long, long ago, in a distant land, there lived a farmer who spent his days tending the tea fields, nurturing the bushes, and collecting the leaves. His work was hard, yet he loved it dearly. When he returned home weary, he comforted his worried wife by promising that one day he would discover a brew so extraordinary, it would amaze the entire world. His family laughed at him, but he never gave up on his dream.

One day, as he was returning from the fields, he encountered a snake slithering across his path. Terrified, he ran as fast as he could, shaking his basket filled with fresh tea leaves so violently that he nearly lost them all.

But instead of disaster, something magical happened. The leaves rubbed against each other in the basket, beginning a subtle process of oxidation that the frightened farmer had no knowledge of. When he returned home, he hurried to dry and brew them. To his astonishment, the infusion had an extraordinary aroma — deep, lightly sweet, with delicate notes of flowers and nuts. The taste was exceptional, full of harmony and mystery.

News of this wondrous beverage spread quickly, and people began calling it Oolong Tea, meaning “enchanting” or “dancing.”

The farmer never knew whether it was called that because of its magical flavor, or because the leaves had “danced” in his basket as he fled from the snake.

But it didn’t matter. He was the happiest man alive, for his dream had finally come true.

Since then, legend has it that a chance encounter with a snake — and a little stroke of luck — gave birth to one of the most treasured teas in the world: Oolong tea, admired for generations for its unique flavor and aroma.

Isn’t that magic? With every cup of Ceylon Cigars, you are truly tasting three teas in one.

What’s more, this tea is ideal for multiple infusions. We recommend that the first steeping be kept short—think of it as awakening the wonderful leaves—and poured away. The second infusion will give you the full-bodied brew.

From the second steeping on, every sip is an affirmation of life itself.

The dry leaves exude a divinely sweet fragrance, while the liquor reveals buttery and peachy notes with an apricot smile.  Just like this!
