HistoryGoppion Caffe is a company founded in 1859 by Luigi Goppion, who, as a young boy, dreamed of opening his own roastery after smelling freshly roasted coffee beans for the first time. The story of Goppion Caffe began with a café established in the market square of a small town near Treviso, close to Venice. Inspired by their grandfather's passion, his grandchildren continued his work and even started opening cafés in other countries. Discover

Muscat Darjeeling – a story in every sip
This tea is more than a beverage – it’s a sensory experience. Every cup is a journey of aromas and flavors, full of discovery and delight. At Piag Tea, we love to surprise. Just as writers create new characters, we craft new blends – each with its own story to tell. Because tea, like literature, is about creation, imagination, and expression. Has everything in the world of tea already been invented? Of course not. Just as every writer tells timeless tales in their own unique voice, every tea has its own way of speaking to us. And as long as there are stories to tell – whether in books, in conversations, or in cups of tea – the world will never end.
So let there always be new blends, new inspirations, and new stories to share.
If you like to know more – connoisseur’s notes
Darjeeling is the name of a tea (most often black) that comes from the Indian province of the same name. It’s considered one of the finest teas in the world.
Tea cultivation in Darjeeling began with the British East India Company, when Robert Fortune brought seedlings and tea-growing expertise from China. Darjeeling teas are often called “teas of the mists”, thanks to the unique microclimate of the Himalayan foothills. Frequent mists and gentle sunshine give these teas their distinctive character.
The flavor and profile of Darjeeling tea change depending on the harvest season, generally divided into:
· First Flush (FF) – spring harvest
· Second Flush (SF) – summer harvest
· Autumnals – autumn harvest
There are also so-called “inbetween” teas, picked between the first and second flush. The rarest and most prized, however, are the very first teas of the season, known as flight teas – flown directly to Europe to preserve their freshness.

The Legend of East and West
Long ago, when the sun was worshipped as a god and the stars were his servants, a legendary tea grew in a hidden Himalayan valley. Its emerald leaves sparkled in the morning light, and its fragrance spread through the mountains, enchanting all who came near. It was said this tea held a magic power – the ability to unite two distant worlds: East and West. Meanwhile, in sunny Italy, Muscat grapes ripened on golden hills. One stormy night, a ship sailing from India to Europe was wrecked on the Italian coast. The sole survivor, a sailor named Arjun, washed ashore with a tiny tea seedling clutched in his hand. He knew this was no ordinary plant – it was a treasure, and saving it was his mission.
Arjun journeyed inland until he reached a bright, fertile valley, where he met a young woman named Isabella. Together, they planted the seedling, and under their care it flourished – its leaves rich with extraordinary flavor and fragrance. News of this miraculous tea soon reached the king, who invited Arjun and Isabella to his court. There, they told the tale of its origins and its magical power to bridge worlds. The king, enchanted by both the story and the tea itself, named it “Muscat Darjeeling” – in honor of their love, and the union of East and West.
