Epic Grey by Piag Tea – a connoisseur’s choice

Ingredients: A refined composition of Assam and Darjeeling black teas, enriched with natural bergamot oil.

Taste: Bold yet balanced, Epic Grey offers an intriguing harmony of flavors. The depth of fine black teas meets the zesty, citrusy freshness of bergamot, creating a blend that’s both classic and refreshingly modern.

Wellness: Black tea is naturally energizing thanks to its theine content, helping you focus and feel more awake. Packed with antioxidants, it supports your body in fighting free radicals and reducing the risk of chronic disease. Add to this the vitamin-rich power of bergamot, and you get a truly epic dose of wellbeing in every cup.

Packaging: Elegantly presented in a designer tin by illustrator Katarzyna Korzeniowska. Each tin is carefully hand-wrapped and hand-packed – because everything we do, we do with love.

Epic Grey

Epic Grey is a tea that combines tradition and modernity, elegance and simplicity, taste and aroma. It is a tea that impresses both in terms of quality and presentation. It is no coincidence that we called it “epic.” That is exactly what it is! And with its taste and aroma, it makes every moment epic. The world that smells of bergamot is simply more beautiful! The world in which one can drink Epic Grey is simply perfect!

As the poet Tadeusz Różewicz wrote: “In life, only moments are beautiful, but moments are epochs.” May there be as many of them as possible!

If you like to know more – some curiosities for connoisseurs:

Epic Grey is not only black tea with bergamot. It is also tea with the addition of leaves of Indian black teas Assam and Darjeeling, which give it exceptional depth and complexity.

Assam tea is a tea with a strong and full flavor, with a dark and dense infusion. It comes from the Assam region in northeastern India, where it grows on the lowlands along the Brahmaputra River. Assam tea is valued for its rich aroma and stimulating qualities.

Darjeeling tea is a tea with a delicate and floral flavor, with a light and clear infusion. It comes from the Darjeeling region in northeastern India, where it grows at an altitude of over 2000 meters above sea level. Darjeeling tea is known as the “champagne of teas” and considered one of the highest quality teas in the world.

The bergamot orange (Citrus bergamium) probably originates from India, but nowadays it is most often cultivated in the Calabria region of Italy. When we look at bergamot fruits, we see a strange, green, wrinkled orange. The fruits are quite small, and to some they resemble a lemon more than an orange.

But it is not the appearance that matters here. We will not argue about what its look resembles. What is more interesting are its invaluable properties, namely: anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant, anti-atherosclerotic, and analgesic.

A little tea story

“When I sit down with Earl Grey,

The world outside can rage away.

Storms may howl and tempests roar,

But here I rest, and ask no more.

With book in hand, and tea beside,

I meet the world with quiet pride.”

— Maciej Mamulski
