For the Curious Connoisseurs

Ruby Wild Jungle is a rare Taiwanese black tea grown on high-altitude plantations, where misty mountain air and mineral-rich soil shape its distinctive flavor and ruby-red liquor.

Cultivation:

·         The Ruby Wild Jungle tea bush is a rare hybrid, created from Assamica and Camellia sinensis var. sinensis.

·         These plants thrive in a temperate climate, with high humidity and rich, fertile soil.

·         The tea is grown on mountain plantations at 1,200–2,000 meters above sea level, where the clean air and misty slopes create the perfect conditions for growth.

·         No pesticides or herbicides are used, ensuring the tea’s natural purity and exceptional quality.

Harvesting:

·         Ruby Wild Jungle tea leaves are hand-picked 3–4 times a year.

·         The most important harvest takes place in spring, when the leaves are at their youngest and most delicate.

·         Picking begins at dawn, while the leaves are still fresh with morning dew.

·         Only the finest leaves are carefully selected by skilled tea pickers, ensuring the highest quality in every batch.

Processing:

·         After harvesting, the leaves undergo a meticulous process of withering, oxidation, drying, and sorting.

·         Withering: The freshly picked leaves are spread out on flat surfaces and gently dried under the sun or in carefully controlled withering rooms.

·         Oxidation: A monitored fermentation process gives the tea its distinctive black color and rich, layered flavor.

·         Drying: The leaves are dried until they reach the perfect level of moisture, locking in their character and aroma.

·         Sorting: Finally, the leaves are graded by size and quality, ensuring consistency in every batch.

·         Once processed, Ruby Wild Jungle tea is packed in airtight containers to preserve its freshness and vibrant fragrance

If You Enjoy Tea Tales...

The Legend of the Red Jade

Long ago, deep within the wild jungles of Taiwan, there lived a mysterious monk named Wu. Renowned for his wisdom and healing powers, Wu wandered the forest in search of nature’s hidden treasures. One day, he discovered a tea bush unlike any other — its leaves shimmered with a ruby-red glow. Recognizing its extraordinary power, Wu named it Red Jade and began using it to heal the sick.

Word of the monk’s miraculous tea spread quickly. Travelers from distant lands journeyed to the jungle, eager to taste the magical infusion and be blessed by its restorative energy. Red Jade soon became a symbol of hope and health, cherished by all who encountered it. For centuries, the secret of Red Jade was lost to time. But in the 1980s, Taiwanese researchers stumbled upon a tea plant with distinctive ruby-colored leaves. Their studies revealed a completely new cultivar — rich in flavor and full of unique qualities, just as legend had foretold.

In 2023, Piag The Fresh Tea revived the spirit of the Red Jade legend with Ruby Wild Jungle — a tea that blends timeless tradition with modern mastery. Each sip is a taste of the wild, a nod to the monk’s legacy, and a celebration of nature’s hidden magic.
