HistoryGoppion Caffe is a company founded in 1859 by Luigi Goppion, who, as a young boy, dreamed of opening his own roastery after smelling freshly roasted coffee beans for the first time. The story of Goppion Caffe began with a café established in the market square of a small town near Treviso, close to Venice. Inspired by their grandfather's passion, his grandchildren continued his work and even started opening cafés in other countries. Discover

More about the product
Fukamushi Japanese Sencha
This exceptional green tea comes from gardens located around the city of Makinohara, along the Pacific coast, in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. There, tea bushes of the most popular Japanese variety, Yabukita, grow with slender branches reaching upwards toward the sky and the sun. Freshly picked leaves are steamed to stop enzymatic oxidation. Fukamushi means “deep-steamed,” referring to the longer exposure of the leaves to hot steam, which results in a sweeter tea, free of bitterness. Rich in antioxidants, it strengthens noble health.
Smile and delight in the wonder of existence!

The Legend of Fukamushi Japanese Sencha Yabukita
Amid the green hills of Shizuoka Prefecture, in a village hidden deep within the forest, there lived a monk named Sōen. He devoted his life to studying nature and seeking harmony. One day, while meditating in a bamboo grove, Sōen heard the whisper of the wind.
"Seek the treasure hidden in the leaves," the wind murmured. "A treasure that soothes both body and soul."
Guided by this message, Sōen wandered through the hills in search of an answer. Eventually, he reached a secret valley where tea bushes grew, their dark green leaves shimmering with vitality. The monk plucked a single leaf and tasted it. He felt sweetness and bitterness merge in perfect balance, and his body filled with a wave of calm. Sōen understood that these leaves were the very treasure the wind had spoken of. He named them Fukamushi Japanese Sencha Yabukita, in honor of the village where he had discovered them. He began sharing the tea with the villagers. They soon discovered its magical qualities—how it eased their ailments, restored their strength, and lifted their spirits. Word of this extraordinary tea spread quickly across Japan, and it became a symbol of health and harmony.
Legend says that Sōen still dwells in the hidden valley, guarding the treasure of Fukamushi Japanese Sencha Yabukita. Those with a pure heart and sincere intention may one day find him and experience the tea’s magic for themselves. Fukamushi Japanese Sencha Yabukita is not just tea. It is a story of seeking harmony, of the power of nature, and of the generosity of the heart. It is a legend that inspires and comforts—like a warm sip of tea on a cold winter’s day.
